Running with your vision (2)

We've looked at 4Ws of running with your vision. The first is to WRITE the vision, WEIGH it, and WATCH over it so that no one gets to steal it! Then you’ve got to WORK at it as if your life depends on that vision, and in fact, your life depends on it. This edition presents the remaining 4Ws of running with your vision.

WEED your vision
“Weed” here means tidy up your vision. Your vision is just like a farmland. You have to clear off the weeds or thorns, whenever they surface on it. If you don’t, your vision might get choked up. From time to time, examine your vision and ensure you remove anything that will hinder it from growing into reality.

WATER your vision
Vision needs to be watered with enthusiasm. Be excited about is. Dream it. Talk it. Eat it. Sleep it. Act it. Share your vision with your encouragers. Read good books, listen to tapes and watch videos that will help keep your vision alive and fresh. I don’t need to tell you that you have to be financially committed to your vision or you’re not serious about becoming great for God.

WEAR your vision
It is commonly said that people will address you the way you’re dressed. Let people see you dressed up in your vision. But how can you possibly wear your vision? It begins with the smiles on your face, the tone of your voice, the way you talk and walk, the way you carry yourself, even the sort of clothes you put on matters.

WAIT on your vision
Don’t get me wrong on this. I never said “Wait FOR your vision”. Don’t sit down with your arms folded. Work, while you wait to see you vision fulfilled. Understand this: Visions are not fulfilled OVERNIGHT. They are fulfilled OVERTIME It takes your time, thought, tears, toil, talent, tenacity and in fact, your totality. Sooner than you expect, you will see that vision working out wonderfully and you will be celebrated.

It is very sad that visionary youths are “scarce commodities” today. Instead of fulfilling destiny, several youths think life is all about having fun. Listen: God didn’t create you for the fun of it. If you seek His face, he will give you a powerful vision for your life. Begin to number your days and apply your heart to wisdom. What do you see yourself becoming in the next two, three or five years? Catch a vision for your life! Then, these 8Ws will help you run with your vision! Cheers!
