Winston Churchill, a former Prime Minster of Britain said 'Responsibility is the price of greatness''. It simply means that we all can become great, if we decide to embrace responsibility. Someone has defined responsibility as responding to your ability. I agree with this definition. You cannot continue to pass blames on people for your failures and misfortunes. Many a time, we try to come up with reasons why everyone else is to blame except ourselves.
I tell people that the government cannot read a book for you. You've got to decide for yourself to pick up a book and read to assimilate, otherwise, nothing happens.
Nothing happens, when you leave things to chance. Wake up and take responsibility for your future. Great men are men of responsibility. Nelson Mandela decided to take responsibility for his nation, braved the forces of apartheid, landed in jail for 27 years...today he is highly respected the world over.
There are high prices for greatness. One price we must all pay to achieve our dreams and become great is that of responsibility.
