Running with your vision

Friends, let us talk about vision. Vision could be an idea, a powerful insight, a mental picture of your desired future or a challenging assignment. Vision is a trigger. Vision vitalizes your body and tantalizes your mind.
The Bible says the young men and women shall see visions and that people perish where there is no vision. This means that vision is very important. Martin Luther King Jnr. was the one that said “I have a dream”.
God asked Jeremiah a question. He said “What can you see?” As a youth, what visions are you seeing? Greatness begins with a great vision. The first thing to do when you have a vision is to WELCOME the vision. I mean, put on your dancing shoes and celebrate its arrival! Now, let’s look at the eight Ws of running with your vision.

WRITE your vision
Get a sheet of paper and express that vision in the clearest words you can think of. The Bible advises us to write the vision and make it plain upon the tables...” Don’t just assume you have it in your head. Reduce the vision to words.
WEIGH your vision
Place your vision on the weighing machine. Is it a vision will promote the growth and progress of the society? Is it a vision that will bear upon the society negatively? What are the values that govern your vision? Let your vision be such that adds value to the lives of people.
WATCH over your vision
Pay attention to your vision. Don’t lose focus or get distracted from it. Walk in the consciousness of your vision. Make sure you read through your vision daily, until it gets printed in your sub-conscious mind. Keep talking about it excitedly. That’s the way to keep an eye on your vision.
WORK on your vision
You must be ready to pay the price of working out your vision. Never let a day pass without doing something about your vision. Take steps, make efforts and gather resources towards its fulfilment. Let your mind be constantly engaged on how you will get around your vision. Working your vision is obeying your vision. Remember, Paul said, “I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision...”

We shall look at the other four Ws very soon. Remember, you have to write your vision, weigh it, watch over it and then work at it as if your life depends on it. And you know what? Your life actually depends on it! Take good care of yourself and remain rapturable!
